Hi Blog! I'm back! =D |
Time flies (sigh again), I have already been here in Brisbane for exactly ONE MONTH and 9 DAYS! Guess what guys, I think I am pretty adapt to it ;)
First, let's talk a bit about the place I'm currently staying.
Tadaaaaaaa~
This is the apartment where I stay. Please don't get confuse with da 'Yakiniku' sign. It is obviously not the name of our apartment but a Japanese reataurant. YEAP! There is one Japanese restaurant right at the basement or ground floor of our apartment! Anyway, I still havent get any chance to try out there as most of the seniors gave bad comment about it. So yea...
Pictures of which I grabbed from google image. But yea, this is basically the original look of my unit. Theres a living room combined with the little kitchen. Of course it doesnt look so nice in reality but anyhow it's still considered a lovely place to me.
Honestly, I love my room soooooo much! It's like loving more and more each and every day. Teeheeee It is something that I decorated and arranged on my own. From an empty room with just few furniture to my warm sweet little room. Awwwww I love you so much! ;)
There are 5 single rooms and 1 double room in our unit. A total of six rooms in a unit stayed of a total of seven of us.
Just realize I couldnt find any group photo of the seven of us! We should get one shouldn't we!? For the mean time, just have a look at this as every six of my housemates are actually inside this big group of picture. The rest, errrr we were here from Help UC in a super big group. (Some of them were not here yet though) That makes sense? hehe
My unit consists of 3 funny guys and 4 pretties including me. Trust me, they are just such a great housemates and I feel really comfortable staying with them. Helpful, caring, funny, interesting... I am so glad that God put them together with me in this new place.
University of Queensland, one of The group of eight, the super giant uni of where I am studying now. Seriously, the uni is soooooo big that I always need a navigator even inside the uni itself. May be just get yourself lost inside the uni then will you realize whats going on. But I suppose one day is a minimum for that. Overall, I think I pretty like my new Uni here. They have really great facilities and there's still so much for me to find out yet. Regarding study life, it's just forth week since orientation, and yet we started to have quizzes, mid-term exam as well as assignment. Crazy isn't it? Anyway, I will start preparing myself for everything as soon as possible.
Kaes, let the pictures speak ;)
St. Lucia is quite a quiet suburb. Where we stayed is actually the midpoint between Uni and Toowong, a place where we went the most for groceries. Speaking of groceries, did I ever mention that I am more and more like an aunty now? Can't believe staying alone without relatives and family can make you so independent. Now I do groceries on my own, and I started to compare the prices between the two main hypermart, even its just few cents! Aunty isnt it? Teeeheee
Other than Toowong, Brisbane City is another interesting place. That's where we shop for things other than groceries. Ohyeaaaaaa there's something that I must tell! Guess what, public transport in Brisbane is not just about buses and trains, we do have FERRY! =DD

Taken when we were otw to City using CityCat for the first time ;) |
It's just been a month so not much have been explore in the city yet. Anyhow, I do went to few recommended restaurant and cafe in the City for food! Check it out!
FOOD! I have gained so much of weight because of them! Winter please just leave as soon as possible! I dont want to have you as a reason of me eating non stop! :(
Besides food, I went to movie in 3D with sisters from Church! Check out the awesome 3D glasses! The most awesome part is when you pay 1 buck for the glasses, you can actually keep the high quality glasses with you even after the movie. It is all mine now =D
Speaking of church, I am here in a new church in Brisbane named Hope Church. Not sure if thats a right choice but I am pretty sure that God put me here for a reason. It's obviously not about just meeting people and hang around, I believe Jesus Christ has His own way in me.
It's really fun to be with them. I think I somehow feel the love from God so heavily through sisters and brothers.
Dear Lord, You know my heart, please tell me clearly if this is not what you want from me. Amen.
Last but not least, a great news about my new job found in Brisbane!!!
Seriously feel thankful for the friend's sister who help me to get into this cafe named Cafe Amadeus. Guess what I am really happy with the wage rate what I currently have! Finally I am earning some money in a real stranger's working place myself. Wages that received every week just mean sooo much to me :')

Picture grabbed from google image as well ;) |
Yeap it looks warm isnt it? It is a lovely cafe on the outside, but inside the kitchen, it's somehow crazy! Because I am still new, all those different type of sandwiches are really strange to me. Keep on making mistakes and feel so guilty for all those bread that basically had been wasted due to my mistake. But I still feel grateful as I am getting better and better every single time I finished work. I will keep on working hard and make sure everything can get in hand really quickly!
PHHEEEEWWWwwwwwww~
Finally it's done! Finally I've updated my life here as promised. One tick from the to-do-list gained ;)
Now, it's time to sleep. Tomorrow onward will be time for revision!!!!
Good night world. Good night Brisbane. Good night peepo. Good night bloggie.♥
