Happy Birthday to Le Brother

To this wonderful dear brother of mine, Happy Birthday! :)

If you ask me if I'll ever expect such a great impact when I first know him, it will be a definite No. But it is just so amazing, how God can build relationships for many different people in different ways. I havent know him for long, just this one and a half year when I am here in Brissy. And it's only until this half a year, that I get much closer with him. But during this short peiod, surprisingly, he had made a super great impact in my life. I wonder, how would it be for those who have knew him for years...

Let me tell you a bit about him...

Can you see the one standing on the table, trying to snap a picture? Yeah, that is the who. In our life group, he is the exclusive photographer. Each and every small or big event, he will make sure there's at least a picture being taken. And if possible, video recording would be even better. That's why, most of the time, you wouldnt see him in our pictures. He says, he just want to capture those important moment, he doesnt need to be inside.

I laugh a little when I review back this picture. :) This is the brother, who makes us smile, or even laugh at many many times. He doesnt mind if he will lose his image, if that means he can, through that, release a bit of our stress.

This was early this year, when he went back Malaysia for a short holiday. We sent him off to airport, and I insisted a picture. I remember him saying, I will be back soon, why do we need a picture? But today, I am so glad, that I insisted.

Yeah, FYI, he just went back to Malaysia again yesterday. But this time, it means for good. I cried, so badly. Never once in my life, that I send people off with so much tears. It has been so long, since the last time I came out with unstoppable tears. Thanks SF, you've made me the ugliest of Christmas season all my life.

Some people asked me, why are you so sad?

I dont know. To me, SF is beyond a friend. He is a brother, and sometimes, even act like a father to me. When I was away back home, he will send me pictures of the group activities, make sure I stay connected. Whenever he sees someone being left out, he will be the first to approach that someone. And you will see, he did not do it because he has to, he did it because he is willing to. He always asks, how can I help you to grow in God? Answer him properly, he will really do whatever it takes. His little white dolphin, which is the name of a car, is like a UQ9's car. He told me before, that little white dolphin, fetch people who serve God. :) He is always encouraging. Whenever I feel myself inadequate of doing many things, he helps me to see in different perspective. And trust me, his many simple example that came out from his heart, never fail to speak something to me. He used to be so timid when I first know him, but when he chose to rise up, he had done so much great things that I'm so sure, it's God who shine him through. He is just a very dear brother that I can share so much with, because I know he will never judge, and somehow it's just so comfortable sharing to him.

Throughout this one year, it has been so many ups and downs for him. We, as a family, witnessed how he has been separated from his loved one, that she has to stay in Malaysia, while God continue to call him here in Australia. He lost his job, and through his perseverance, God gave him another one. When his visa was going to expired, God brought him sponsored visa. When he thought everything was going well, that he will be staying for few more years, God suddenly tell him that he lost his visa, and he needs to leave this place in a week's time. Yes, I do mean leaving and settling everything he has in Brisbane and go back Malaysia for good in ONE week time. He told me before, it is not great feeling hanging here and there, it is hard being so uncertain. But then he continue saying, where God calls him, there he will be, all ready. I believe it is so difficult for him, physically. But when he is so confirmed that God can do amazing things in his life, that God always has the best plan for him, I can see how willing he is, to just follow closely after.

But to me, it is not so easy after all. After we've been through the visa problem, I thought he can really stay for few more years with his employer sponsored visa. But when I was being noticed, it left with technically, 2 full days for me to say BYE. Oh well, he did hinted me for countless times that I can recalled back now, but I am just too not serious to think that he was joking. He says, he was trying many different ways to see if anything will change, and even until the last day, I am still having hope. I guess it is just too sudden, and I havent really accept the truth yet. It is like part of my life, being taken away, while I get only 2 days notice. The brother said, I am a drama queen. But I guess, I am just not so good in hiding my feeling, like he did. Fine, I mean, I did not choose to hide.

Sf, finally you've got what you want all these while, back to Malaysia. Sorry for being so selfish and stubborn, wanting you to stay here forever. Looking at all those smiling and happy faces back there, I somehow think it might be the best way, perhaps. People there need you more than we do. Tonight, I want it to be the one last night of me crying. Tomorrow onwards, whenever I miss you, it will be transformed into something really powerful, that can keep me going like what you really want to see. Sf, I've promised God, that no matter if He allows you to stay, I will try my best, not to despise myself anymore. I want you to see a different me, and be really proud of this sister. I want everything that you've impacted into my life, being passed down to many. For you, I cant wait to see you shine even brighter for God. Together with WZ, I believe you both can do even even greater things. And please, faster get married. You know what I mean. :')

Thank you, for watching over me like a big brother all these while. Thank you for the many memories that we had together. And when I say I wish I would have never know you, I wasn't really mean it. In fact, I thank God, for this wonderful relationship in the family of Christ. I thank God, that I've know you, and the impact that you have brought to me. Super duper thankful that I have you, and I know you will still continue to be there whenever I need you. Thank you SF, you do mean a lot to me. :') Take care.

Sorry if I've went a bit off topic. I mean, Happy Birthday Siew Foong Yeoh!!!! :)

Exam is over.

A very updated one! ;)

It's gonna be short, but I really had this urge to do it like NOW, right after my last paper today. Yes, after the many sleepless nights (exaggerating), I am finally done with this first semester of mine in QUT. I have to say, QUT is not that hard. ;) Apparently I say it to compare to those exams in UQ. Wondering what have I done there for the last two semesters. :( BUT THEN, the assignments here are crazies! I remember how I went through that particular Friday with 3 assignments due together carried an average weightage of 30% each! And you have no idea how complicated those assignments are. I seriously wanna DIE.

Here I am done. Having strong faith in saying BYE to the four subjects there. Had a good night sleep right after exam. And here is the dinner for the night. Nom*
A pretty dish for the dinner with the households @ Char Char Yiros!
After all, I wanna thank those who have been praying for me and for the rest of the brothers and sisters throughout this whole exam period. It felt different. Exam used to be just the thing between me and God, no one else. But ever since I am here, exam became everybody's businesses. We intercede for each and every student, sent words of encouragement to make sure non of us do it by our own strength, my exam became every one else's exam! Such a family! ♥
To the most highest one, thank you Daddy God, for the many blessings and favors You had upon me. It is all beyond words, how much You have been taking care of me since forever. LOVE ♥

I am a little messy here. Simply feel like updating my blog, which have nothing to talk about in fact. But then, who cares? It is my blog! I want it to be about me, about my love ones, about something that I will smile unto when I looked back in the future, simply it means, my nonsense. It has been here for many years, and the motive never change. It is to journal down my life, and made it available to ONLY those who care. So really, dont judge hey! ;)

Announcing Freedom*

YEAH! I have a long list of to-do-things in this summer. I am gonna spent a lot of time playing keyboard and guitar, I am gonna go to Surfers Paradise or any other beaches, I am gonna use this time to improve myself, no idea in what way yet, I am gonna just sit down there doing nothing and let the time past, I am gonna go back to Malaysia for food and friends. And one super important thing, I am gonna go to Philippine for Mission Trip in 3 weeks time!! Will definitely bring up a post specifically for that. *prayingforeverything*

Till then.
BYE exam. HI holiday.

Countless Birthday Blessings

Have been skipping many many posts that I used to have in mind. But this one, it is so important that I would really love to journal it down, to remember another awesome blessing in life. Yeap, I am gonna talk about my 22nd birthday!! =D

Counting my blessings...

Decided to start this with the video above, because I was so amazed by the heart of this girl, this one girl that I used to stick so much with. She knew I am forever busy but accept me as who I am, no matter how I always failed to show her my priorities, she is there, SHE IS JUST THERE! Ms YitingLim, you had my promise, forever friend, please don't ever abandon this friendship. I don't know how and what to prove you, but it means so much to me. Really. :')

Continue counting...

This year, it was different. It was not so much about being pretty, being the Queen of the day. Rather, for the first time ever, after late night sleeping just to receive and respond to many wishes, I need to wake up that early the next morning, for the fund raising car wash. I guess as time past, birthday somehow upgraded to be just another ordinary day. I don't know, perhaps it's because those who used to celebrate so much with me, are all far far away. But yea, this year, I was involved in our life group fund raising for our church, and it was on the exact same day, we had the car wash. Guess what, I was so excited in doing it. Really, when you are growing older and older, you started to realize the true meaning of birthdays. It means so differently doing the car wash compared to non stop celebration. On your sort of big day, instead of non stop receiving, you give and bless others through yourself, what an honour! :)

UQ9 Car Wash
Guess what happen after the car wash? Have a play of the video below, and you will know. ;)

Family in Christ. :')
A family that I found in this foreign place, a place that I can now call it home simply because of each and everyone of you. Thank you for so much learning and growing together, it was a wonderful milestone that I had in life. And yes, I love you. ♥

Still counting...

She brought me this with her funny words in the little card, and urge me to wear it to show her. ♥
She stole my key and purposely came to my place to set this up. But I was so blind that almost fail her surprise! Told you I can really ignore things that I dont want to see, very easily. HAHA. But ♥ :')
A boost from the girls, bundle with the lovely card. Simple, yet heart touched. :')
She asked if I use eye shadow like super long time ago, just to get me one as the birthday present. ♥
Noodle soup for the temporary vegetarian birthday girl, and he added double portion of egg in it! :')
Careful enough to observe my luxury need. So surprised, even though I have know some of you for less than 3 months. Thank you. :')
When I thought that's all, she had this hanging on my room's door. You know, even though I was complaining you using my paper, my heart is warmed, by every single word that you've written. ♥
I told her dont give me anything. But still, this pop out even though she was not physically here in Brissy. For once I thought I'm gonna seal this up and keep for life. She said I am crazy, with a smile on her face I guess. :')
This is Australia, and I received a red/pink packet from her mum. It feels so like home. So feel like crying. :')
It was so simple yet so loved, when I opened up the handmade card from him! And he said, 'yea, this brunch on me.' :')
She was complaining the stupid carriage took too long to get this arrived. But guess what, my heart was like smiling even before I receive it. And yea, she knew how much I love autumn! :')
They remember I force them to send me postcard wherever they went. And this time it came together with the super creative handmade card. I miss you, you, you, you, you, and you. :'(

You know, you guys are really a wonderful blessing to me. From the video, to the celebration, to each and every gift, and crazy phone call from those who are not here (including my firecracker sisters and lighter). Everything just melted my heart. So much so that when I think about it right now, I cant help but putting this big smile on my face! It was a wonderful day. In fact, knowing you guys in my life, I know I am bound to have this wonderful life. Thank you, each and everyone, no matter you are or not mentioned specifically here in this post, I just appreciate every single one of you in my life. I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE of YOU! It is you, who made up my day. ♥♥♥

I think, I am gonna continue counting. It is countless... :')

September Realisations

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.... after a month :)

Guess I have not mention anything about my current master program in QUT. Oh well, yes, a master student! And yes, I just finished my tons of assignments last Friday 1159pm, successfully handed in 4 big ones all in that one week. I literally went crazy a bit. Which is why I had myself a week off, from all lectures and tutorials, nor any book or lecture recording, simply enjoy life the way I want it to be. It feels good. So good. And yesterday, it marked the one last day for the self-claimed holiday. Today, things will be back to normal, again, until the next to come I suppose? ;)

Things happened throughout the whole month. People come people go. You have no way to stop it from happening, but at the very least, I learnt things out of it. I learnt, everyone has his or her own lifestyle. You should not, nor have you the authority, to change someone's way of living. That's just insane, no matter who that someone is. So really, be it, or leave it. That's just a lesson of course, in theory. Practically, I have learn to accept who the people are, in my life. I mean I am still learning, but trying hard not to judge people from just my own eyes, I know how bad they can go sometimes. Guess what, throughout this season, God reminded me so much, of how to love people the way He did and He does, the way He has been loving me. Love, because you can. Love, because that is the most important thing in the world. Love, because He first have loved you, despite how unloving you are.
BUT, there's always an exception!!! To those of whom I love so much, who have given me the authority to, I WILL STRIVE TO CHANGE YOU TO A BETTER ONE. I don't care, or you don't give me the authority, or you change! Hehehehhee =P ♥

Feel like sharing a very good story that I've heard recently, while it is still fresh in my mind. The story goes a bit like this. A teenager who is going through some tough times talked to the father about it. The father then ask him to boil a pot of water, put in CARROT, EGG, and a TEA BAG, continue boiling. When it is done, the father had the child to break the CARROT. It is so fragile that it broke immediately, without much effort. The father then said, carrot is hard initially, but under pressure, it breaks. In life, it signifies many people who just gave up while they are facing those problems in life, despite how strong and powerful they were before those problems. Then, when the child holds the egg, it is hard. The liquid that was in it formed something solid after the boiling process. Which is very much talking about how people have harden their hearts not to believe in life anymore, after they went though something difficult. Finally, the tea bag. It doesn't change much, it is still a tea bag. But guess what, the whole pot of water changed! The colour changed, the smell changed, even the taste is much better now. WAOW So tea bag went though tough times, it didn't change, but it changed the surroundings. I was really amazed by the story, and realized so much from it. People, when we are under pressure, you choose your way. You can either be broken down into pieces, be harden up, or you be the one who changed the whole world. Choose wisely. ;)

End this post with one of my recent favourite portrait. Hehehe ;)

Graduated from The University of Queensland! :D

It started here...
It was a really coldy windy night, when this bunch of us arrived in Brisbane Airport. 9th July 2012 I remembered. Then, there's a long long story happened throughout this one year, probably will talk about it in another post later, as now, me gonna concentrate just on my graduation! ;)

Proudly present to you, an undergraduate from
The University of Queensland, Australia,
the Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. Clapclap*
Holding flowers from daddy on the right and koala bear from UQ 9 on the left ♥

One whole year, two long semester, been through enough stresses and craziness. From how I was amazed by the giant campus and get lost all the time, countless skipping lectures and tutorials, rushing assignments to the last second of the due day, many sleepless nights just to eat up every letter in the notes as possible, promise not to be last minute for the next exam and failed every single promise, repent to God everytime before the exam...... to today, I passed every single subject and be able to graduate successfully as scheduled, telling me my God is not watching me huh? I doubt that! :')

Many many thanks to those who attended my graduation ceremony on that day. You know, it means so much so much to me!

UQ 9. Love as usual! ♥
My fellow Yakiniku-ians!
The girls. Apparently there's a missing one dont know where she lost to =P
Ahh.. there she is! ;)

Last but not least,

My forever beloved family! ♥
Really wanna thank my family who are always always there to support whenever I am in need. I dont always say it out loud, but deep down in my heart, you are so important to me! ♥

Graduation pressies received! Definitely a happy girl!! :)
... and it ends here.

I might have graduated from the Bachelor degree, but I believe, it really means something else is getting started, one way or another. Graduation does mean something, you know, the first proper one in life, and yet, what I truly appreciate is not the ceremony itself, but how it indicates that I've achieved something higher in life. As time goes by, mistakes made, lessons learnt, I believe I am definitely a better me now! Yet, not gonna stop here, I will continue this uncertain journey, to where God leads me to be. One day in the future if I happen to read back all these, I wish I can remember what I have been through, with the tears of joy, appreciate everything I have in life. Good luck!!

PS: Stella Chong, Congratulation! :')

I love Cairns.

After a year studying here, finally I am done with my Bachelor course!! Gonna skip the unspeakable torture part about what we have been through the final exam, the thing is, we went through, and here come the 'waited for soooooooooooo long' Cairn's graduation Trip ;)

A lot of the times when it's just non stop discussing and no one making any decision or action, things will never be done. It's a 4 days 3 nights trip of which we have planned out of random (I suppose) and I really glad that we made it! :) Forgotten when was the last time of me feeling really really really excited about a trip. This time, the word 'Cairns' will pop out in my mind even during exam period. Keep flipping the pages of the little travel booklet introducing Cairns, I know how anticipated I was, and definitely I know the reason why. :)

From Brissy
From Adelaide
From Melbourne

Once again, meeting up with my lawyers' gang. Too bad a lot of them couldnt make it due to the never ending exam, but I know we have more to come. Let's just wait and plan for the next one. Hehe

Accommodation
As shown in the above, there's a total of eight of us, so we decided to stay in an apartment which consists of two bedroom, with one double bed and two single beds each, named ReefGateway. It is a really nice apartment with many necessities provided (even washing machine and dryer!) Click on RGgallery to check out different pictures about the apartment. Trust me, the real condition is just as nice as the picture. :) Also, the owners of the place are really friendly and helpful. The cost for 3 nights is $450 which is like 55 ish per person, reasonable. To me, personally, if there has to be something bad about the place, I would say it's a bit too far from the city. It might be ok for some people to walk like 20-30 minutes to the city along the esplanade but definitely not to me, I don't really walk a lot. Hehe. But guess what, that's not a very big deal after all. We basically order for Cab everytime when we needa go out or come back. Just a few minutes drive and it costs about 15- 20 bucks per way, which after the division, cost us less than 2 dollar each. Saving energy saving time, why not? Teeheee~

Okaes. Now its the exciting part, THINGS WE DID IN CAIRNS

First night, Blue Fireflies.
Actually it wasn't just about blue fireflies. That is a tour that bring us to 3 different places, to experience Hummer like a real life roller coaster, to watch the starts and blue fireflies, and also to feed wallaby in the dark.

Our Hummer and the driver!
Wallaby- the mini Kangaroo
Out of all three for the first night, I love the starts and the bluefireflies so so much! It was the first time when I see so much starts in the dark sky, different in both sizes and brightness. And the first time, when I see the Polaris and Southern Cross stars with my own eyes, not in the book or the internet, but my OWN EYES!! Awwwwww ♥♥♥

Second day, the reason I came Cairns, Scuba Diving!

Ever since the last time I went sea walking in Pattaya, I knew there must be something linking me and the sea. First time in life, scuba diving. Before that, we had a short lesson about what to do under the sea. Everyone sort of understand everything, but when it comes to real under the sea, it's not really that easy then. I am glad that even though I was a bit nervous when I first went down, I made it to the end! The world under is really different, different in a way that I love so so much!

Other than deep dive, there's also a total of 5 hours unlimited snorkeling in two different spots. Unbelievable clear water, that you will see flock of fishes swimming here and there. AMAZING

Another excitement of the package, helicopter bring us to fly for 10 minutes around the Great Barrier Reef.

View from top of the sky :)
Last but not least, I enjoyed very much sitting on top front of the cruise, under the sun yet strong wind blowing... Someone please fulfil the promise of having your own cruise and send me an invitation to make this happen again. Hehe

To my beloved diving instructor, Thank you. You did a good job. Love the way how you gave us the short lesson, funny and interesting. Thank you for reminding me to use my camera when I was so amazed by the underwater view, and help me to change the camera from left to right hand. Thank you for showing me different things under the sea, even though we can't communicate through speaking. Thank you for bringing me down again, when I thought that it's gonna end there. Thank you for being such a hero, you know what am I talking about. :) No idea if we will ever meet again, but definitely you are someone of whom I will never ever forget. Such an experience, such an excellency. ♥

Day 3, another first one in life, Rafting.

Have no idea what rafting was, I just want to try everything. A total of few hours raft, under the command by a well trained river guide, all we did was just listen to her command! Yes, its a her!

It was really exciting and I don't have any chance to take picture especially when we were to raft across many different challenging areas. Throughout the journey,  Paddle, Hold on, Get down Keep left, Keep right... listen each and every command carefully. You know, if you are not holding tight enough, the whole thing will just flipped upside down, and you will be all wet! ;)

me and my team! ;)

Basically that's everything about Cairns. Once again, I wanna tell you how much I appreciate each and every travelling we had together. Thank you for being there together with me, having so much fun and laughter together. Seriously, plan for a next one? ;)

I love Cairns. We love Cairns. ♥

PS: If and only if you approve my request ;)
